Values

The partners of Women Ventures International are expected to be in compliance with core labour standards and the UN Global Compact which include respect for gender equality, human rights, anti-corruption and the environment.

Objectives

Recognizing the obstacles faced by women in Ghana in realizing economic opportunities and access to capital in particular; and recognizing the great potential of women as entrepreneurs and as economic contributors to their families, communities and to Ghana, if they were provided with financial and other supports, the objects of Women Ventures are:

• a) to provide financial and other support to women operating nascent and emerging small enterprises in Ghana which have potential for success and growth and which can create jobs particularly for women;
• b) to ameliorate the access to capital difficulties that faced by women in Ghana;
• c) to promote and protect enterprises and business sectors that are beneficial to women;
• d) to facilitate education, training and research in areas relevant to increasing the establishment and operation of businesses owned by and for women;
• e) to advocate and promote changes in general commercial business practices and governmental policies and laws that will benefit Ghanaian women entrepreneurs and further the objects of Women Ventures.
