

Ms. Lucy Arthur, was called to the Ghana Bar in 1972 having studied at the University of Ghana where she obtained her LL.B Hons. degree and the Ghana Law School where she earned her professional law degree.
She was in private legal practice with Puplampu and Co. in Accra from 1972 -1975. She was also one of 12 female African judges and lawyers selected and sponsored by USIS in 1974 for a six week study tour of various legal institutions across the United States of America. Ms. Arthur was a Law Reporter, Senior Law Reporter and Acting Editor from 1975 – 1979 at the Council for Law Reporting in Accra, Ghana. The Council for Law Reporting publishes the Ghana Law Reports which compiles cases that have set a legal precedence in Superior Courts of Judicature.
Ms. Arthur has participated in and conducted workshops and seminars on legal and human rights issues relating to women and children across Ghana and in several African countries. She has also been very active in national and international conferences in a number of countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Bahamas and Malaysia.
She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association, the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) and Women in Law and Development in Africa (WiLDAF). In particular, she has held several executive positions in FIDA from 1976 – 2005, including that of President from 1992-1994. During her tenure as President of FIDA, her write up on the activities of FIDA won a UN award to commemorate the 50 th anniversary of the UN. FIDA was selected as one of 50 NGOs worldwide whose work has impacted positively on their communities. As well, she has volunteered as a Legal AID Officer and Counsellor to women clients of FIDA at its free legal aid clinics in Accra and other parts of the country.
Jennifer Goldstone is a communications professional based in Ottawa, Canada. Her expertise is in such areas as writing, editing, media relations, strategic advice and event planning. Since 1989, she has worked for international development organizations, including the Canadian Council for International Cooperation, MATCH International Centre and the international division of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada. It was through her consulting for MATCH International Centre that she deepened her understanding of the challenges facing women around the world and came to admire, and be inspired by, some of the women involved with Women Ventures International. Jennifer enjoys volunteering for WVI on communications activities and helps out in a similar way with local environment and community development organizations in Ottawa. Jennifer joined the federal government in 2002 and is a member of the management team of the Department of Justice's communications branch. She holds a bachelor of journalism and master of arts in communication from Carleton University in Ottawa.
Dr. Tina Q. Richardson is a tenured Associate Professor in Counseling Psychology at Lehigh University in the United States. Her expertise includes the areas of consultation, evaluation, research, and teaching. Dr. Richardson is a certified School Counselor who taught courses on the topic of School Safety for the International Association of Chief of Police and Office of Community Oriented Policing as well as conducted workshops for local school district taskforces and committees.
Dr. Richardson received her Masters Degree and Ph.D. in 1991 from the University of Maryland , College Park. Her research focuses on violence prevention and multicultural issues in education and counseling. Special emphasis is placed on bullying behaviour, risk factors for student violence, identity development, and counselor training. Dr. Richardson published and authored several book chapters and articles including The Historical Significance of Ethnicity: Use and Current Trends.
